system for this job-shop manufacturer of high-precision loose gears
and gear assemblies for the aerospace industry.
Electonic components

- Analyzed computer and voice
networking needs for a company-wide local area network and a telephone
system with links to accounting/data processing and computer-aided design
systems in Phoenix and overseas manufacturing and sales locations. Conducted
evaluation and selection, and monitored implementation of cable plant,
local area computer network (LAN) of over 100 computers and telephone
systems in Phoenix. Project completed and all systems installed and
operational in time to meet tight deadline for move to new facilities.

needs for a large number of small to mid-size
medical practices in many different specialty areas, including internal
medicine, pediatrics, mental health, radiology, dentistry, etc. Selected
multi-user and network-based systems, including some multi-office systems,
to meet specific needs and monitored successful implementation.
Public and Non-commercial
High school district:
- Analysis of office automation,
business, data and voice communications needs for District-wide networks
throughout two campuses and District office, including wide area links.
Preparation of a Technology Infusion Plan for the District. Recommendation
for implementation of hardware/software systems to handle academic/
administrative, accounting, electronic mail, library, maintenance and
office automation needs. Voice/Data network and cable system design
and procurement, including integration of pre-existing mid- range computer
systems and networks as appropriate. The implemented District-wide network
now features full integration of IBM-compatible PCs and Apple Macintosh
computers at all levels, microwave and fiber-optic links, District-wide
access to databases on magnetic disk and CD-ROM and inbound/outbound
data communications capability with all appropriate security
provisions.
Membership organizations:
- Several assignments with
trade associations and other corporate-oriented
membership organizations. Evaluated membership management, event management,
dues collection, data base management, publishing and accounting requirements.
Selected multi-user and/or network-based systems and associated local
area networks (when applicable) and expedited implementation.
Regional headquarters
for church organization:
- Analyzed need for upgrade
to the main office and parochial school administrations systems for
office automation and accounting. Acted as an expert witness and consultant
against a former vendor of administrative software for the school administration.

resources and requirements. Prepared detailed system acquisition specifications
for network, minicomputer and mainframe systems and assisted in the
acquisition of those systems for which government funding approval was

implementation of city-wide local and wide area networks (LANs and WAN),
and specifying network architecture to integrate with existing centralized
computing systems.
